President Jacob Zuma's eldest son Edward Zuma has refused to apologize or withdraw his anti-foreigner statements. The younger Zuma earlier this week in an interview said he supported comments made by King Goodwill Zwelithini; that there is the fear that foreigners may take over the country in a short time.

The Zulu King on his part had made a damning comments, suggesting that Foreigners are not to be allowed in South Africa. His statement had since been condemned by most of the citizens citing that such would encourage violence against innocent foreigners and their businesses.

Zuma reportedly maintained that the point he was trying to make was that the country [South Africa] is facing a serious problem when it comes to illegal immigrants. And so he was not going to withdraw his comments.

He also criticised a Swaziland NGO, Swaziland Solidarity Network's claim that he was not proud of having been born in Swaziland.
Meanwhile there was another report that claim an attack on foreigners in a town near Durban, was fueled by the king’s comments.
