As the merger between Takealot.com and Kalahari.com, two online market giants is hitting the top gear, reports say Takealot.com is slowly clearing products listed on kalahari.com.
It advertised on its website,“On 20 April we will be delisting all products that have a supplier lead time from the Kalahari website. This means the selection of BOOKS, DVDs, music and games will be reduced significantly. If you can’t find the product you are looking for on Kalahari during this period we recommend checking takealot.com instead.
”
But once the site has been shut down, clients would be redirected to takealot.com, and will still receive their orders through Kalahari.com.
The merger which was approved in January, observers say are calling it a take-over since the Kalahari brand will be disappearing after it. But Takealot insists that although the name will be no more, customers will still get the same experience.
