The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate said this while addressing Igbo traders at the Alaba International market on Thursday(9th April).
He told them to ignore the threats made by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, that if they do not vote for the APC governorship candidate on Saturday, they would die in the lagoon.
He added that nobody can push them into the Atlantic Ocean. Rather, they should use their votes to push the APC into the Atlantic Ocean by voting massively for the PDP on Saturday.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who accompanied him said the APC had become arrogant because the party had been in power for too long. They maintained that the people should ignore the bully tactics being used by the APC, calling it antics of a drowning party.
They people were also advised to shun violence and resist intimidation of any form during the election.
