A senior minister in the government of South Africa, Honorable Blade Nzimande has been denied entry visa by Isreal. Though Isreal did not give reason for the refusal of entry to the Minister of Higher Education; speculations are rife that it may be connected with the recent xenophobic attacks on African immigrants in South Africa.
Government of South Africa has expressed their outrage over the refusal of entry, and called on Isreal to explain the reason to them. This may be one of the effects of xenophobia as many media organisations are reporting.
