Another anti-xenophobia march is taking place on Thursday  April 23 in the finacial capital city of Johannesburg. The premier of Gauteng province, David Makhura and mayors are expected to attend the march.

The march part of efforts to demonstrate "the overwhelming rejection of these heinous acts", the organisers noted in a statement.

You will recall that similar march had been held in Durban last Thursday, though police clashed with a group of people who tride to disrupt the event.

An Economic Freedom Fighters member was also attacked on Monday in Alexandra, Johannesburg, when the party leader Julius Malema arrived to call for an end to the violence against foreigners.
