A Nigerian living in Diaspora, Ndubisi Ani writes an open letter to Nigeria's President-elect. Mr. Ani who is a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and an ardent reader of COB was one of the notable youthful agents of change during the electioneering period.
He is one of the supporters of GMB that got my attention, because he did not allow distance to stop him from taking part in the change fiesta that had since taken over in Nigeria. He had to travel all the way from Germany to Nigeria in order to vote in that notable election that has gone down as the most keenly contested.
Read his open letter to Buhari:

"Congratulations once again his excellency, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. You must understand that our expectations are high, but you can’t blame us too much. By faith or design, you have become a symbol of renaissance for a nation that has been battered by mismanagement and unprecedented corruption.

"Many of us believed in your Change Campaign, tired of the usual statuesque and many more just wanted a better life for ourselves and our loved ones. All eyes are on you, I trust you know that by now. This Change should demonstrate to us possibilities, hope again for the youths of this country and a channeling back to those core values which we hold sacred.

"Anything less will be same of the same, my earnest advice to you is to choose men and women strictly on merit, it will never be easy because of the wolves and sharks among us who benefit big time from the corruption, the poverty, the confusion and the hopelessness they inflict on us. As Mahatma Gandhi will say "I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles, but today it means getting along with people" God bless you! And God bless Nigeria."
